You guys our boundaries and self respect are tested daily.
A friend of mine said to me last night, “I honestly don’t even know what my boundaries are until something really bad happens and I break. How do I know when I need to set a boundary?”
My response...
If you are in a situation that is making you question your value, worth, your body... a situation where someone makes you feel like your emotions are being invalidated, that your voice isn’t important, that their thoughts/emotions are superior to yours... a situation that shifts your energy into a space of low vibration which can cause physical affects such as sadness, nausea, anxiety, etc... a situation where you feel like you are holding back from expressing in any way to protect/benefit the other person instead of putting yourself first....THAT is when a boundary is being crossed.
There is a constructive and respectful way to have thought provoking, growth provoking, stimulating, conversations and communication.
People will push you as far as you’ll allow them to. It is your job to create self awareness and maintain the integrity of your own energy.
