Emotional and Mental Pain

Emotional and mental pain affect the body. When left unacknowledged, that physical pain creates energetic stagnation which not only exacerbates the emotional and mental pain but evolves into inflammation and “dis-ease” or disease in the body. ⁣

Society tells us to diminish our needs and feelings in order to “keep the peace.” Or, that we are “strong enough to deal with it alone.” And even, that our thoughts and feelings are not important, justified or worthy of being heard in some situations. ⁣

Ultimately, when we consistently block ourselves of this energetic release and aren’t honest with ourselves and others about what we need and how we feel, not only can it cause physical disease it can also creep up in many other unhealthy ways:⁣

Addiction⁣
Lack of intimacy or affection (the inability to get close to someone)⁣
Eating disorders ⁣
Low emotional awareness ⁣
Irrational moods and/or behavior ⁣

And more….⁣
